Common Uses:

The Braun Touchless + Forehead Thermometer provides accurate, instant temperature readings with two clinically proven methods: the forehead touch or non-invasive touchless measurement. It’s especially useful for measuring temperature on a sleeping child, thanks to its touchless feature. The AgeSmart technology takes the guesswork out of interpreting the temperature for all ages, and the thermometer is suitable for forehead, object, or liquid measurements.

How to Use:

The Braun Touchless + Forehead Thermometer has been clinically tested and proven to be accurate when used according to the instructions. Please refer to the included instruction booklet for full details and diagrams.

1. Remove the cap from the thermometer.
2. Power on by pressing and releasing the power button. The backlight will light up, and the start-up sequence will begin.
3. Once the device is ready and correctly positioned, a horizontal line of dashes (“—–“) will appear on the screen.
4. Position the thermometer on or up to 5cm away from the center of the forehead, just between the eyebrows.
5. For no-touch readings, a yellow guidance light will show where to aim.
6. When positioned correctly, the thermometer will display a dashed line animation as it takes the reading. If the device is too far away, it will prompt you to move closer by showing a diagram with “0-5cm.” Slowly move the thermometer closer until the dashed line animation appears.
7. Press the temperature button (you can press and hold, or press and release).
8. After approximately 2 seconds, the temperature will be displayed along with corresponding beeps and the fever traffic light color.

NOTE: You can silence the beep function to avoid waking a sleeping child. Refer to the instruction booklet for details.

Tips for Taking Temperature:

• For best results, ensure the patient is inside and away from direct sunlight for at least 30 minutes before taking their temperature.
• Remove any hair or sweat from the forehead for improved accuracy.
• Keep the patient’s head still—having them focus on a point in the distance can help.
• Hold the thermometer steady while taking the temperature; there’s no need to swipe.
